Cabot Creamery, a Vermont-based company, has recalled over 1,700 pounds of its Extra Creamy Premium Butter due to potential contamination with coliform bacteria. This voluntary recall affects 189 cases distributed in Arkansas, Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, and Vermont. The recall, issued on March 26, is categorized as Class III by the FDA, indicating it is not likely to cause health issues. While the company managed to recover 99.5% of the product, 17 packages were sold in Vermont. Consumers are advised to return or discard the product with a best-by date of September 9, 2025.
