New York Man Charged with Cyberstalking Family of Slain UnitedHealthcare CEO

Shane Daley, 40, from Galway, New York, has been charged with cyberstalking and making threats against the family of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.

The threats were made shortly after Brian Thompson was fatally shot outside a New York City hotel in December, leading to the charges against Daley.

Thompson's murder was reportedly carried out by a man angered by perceived corporate greed, providing a disturbing backdrop to the subsequent cyberstalking threats.

Daley is specifically accused of sending harassing voicemail messages and making threatening calls to a family member of the slain UnitedHealthcare CEO.

If convicted, Daley faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release with conditions like a GPS monitor.
