Taylor Swift Texts Surface in Lively-Baldoni Suit

U.S. District Court in Manhattan unsealed text messages on Tuesday showing Taylor Swift exchanged candid messages with Blake Lively calling Justin Baldoni a "b----" and discussing strategy, according to court documents.

The texts, dated April 2023 and Dec. 5, 2024, were filed amid Blake Lively's December 2024 sexual harassment and retaliation complaint and Justin Baldoni's subsequent defamation and $400 million suit, according to court filings.

Sigrid McCawley of Lively's legal team said the messages show Wayfarer understood 'sexual harassment' concerns and refused to investigate, while Bryan Feldman for Baldoni said the evidence 'does not support the claims,' according to statements.

The litigation includes Lively's postponed civil trial now set for May 18, 2026, Baldoni's dismissed suits against Lively, Reynolds and The New York Times in June 2025, and Baldoni's earlier $400 million claim, records show.

A hearing and settlement conference is scheduled Thursday and, if no deal is reached, a jury trial is set for May 18, 2026, with plaintiffs and defendants exchanging new filings.
