Senate Report Alleges Biden Administration Pressured Airports to House Migrants, Citing Safety Concerns and Costs

The Senate Commerce Committee released a report, "Flight Risk," alleging the Biden administration pressured at least 11 major U.S. airports to convert properties into shelters for illegal migrants.

The report claims this pressure compromised traveler safety and led to increased operational costs for airports, detailing concerns from internal federal agency emails.

Logan Airport in Boston reportedly housed 352 migrants overnight in Terminal E, incurring nearly $780,000 in security, cleaning, and transportation expenses.

Chicago's O'Hare Airport also sheltered up to 900 migrants in a shuttle terminal, highlighting the widespread nature of the alleged directive across major U.S. transportation hubs.

From April 2023 to February 2024, police recorded 329 service calls and 26 arrests for various offenses, including theft and disorderly conduct, at affected airport locations.
